Abstract
Introduction: Physical education and sports teachers are active in the field of human resources and in the schools of the country, they lead, conduct and conduct sports programs. The purpose of this research was to investigation of relationship between burnout with job motivation among Physical Education Teachers in Alborz Province.
Methodology: Data analysis was done using spearman/Pearson coefficient correlation. Information was collected by two questionnaires including :
1) Motivation-hygiene factors questionnaire of Dunt and etal
2) Job burnout questionnaire of Hassles and Maslash
Results: The research results showed that the mean of motivation-hygiene factors in men was more than the mean of motivation-hygiene factors in women. Respondents experienced moderate levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization and high levels of decreased personal accomplishment in men and women.
There was a significant negative correlation between motivational factor and emotional exhaustion, but there was not significant correlation between hygienic factor and emotional exhaustion. There was a significant negative correlation between decreased personal accomplishment and motivation-hygiene factors. There was not significant correlation between depersonalization and motivation-hygiene factors.
Discussion: The reverse correlation between decreasing performance and motivational and health factors suggest that higher levels of motivational and health factors in physical education teachers are related to lowering their lower productivity. Also, this study showed that both motivational and health factors have less correlation with the other aspects of job burnout due to less performance of the teachers in physical education in Alborz province. Considering the fact that subjects in all three components are not well positioned in burnout (emotional exhaustion, loss of performance, depletion of personal characteristics); therefore, appropriate coping strategies should be adopted to reduce and prevent its spread.
