Introduction: With increasing the role of sport in economic, social, cultural and even political development of advanced countries, attention to the development of sports fields at the championship level has become one of the strategic priorities of planners in different countries of the world. One of the dimensions of sport that can provide appropriate motivation for people, especially young people, is the championship sport. So, karate is introduced as the foundation of martial arts and ethics, and is a way through which a person humble to his weaknesses and turns his weaknesses into proficient and hard-working, strong points. So the purpose of this study was to identification and prioritization of developmental barriers of karate championship sport in Razavi Khorasan province from the view point of experts.

Seven components have been identified, each of them has been considered by all three groups of heroes, coaches and experts. In this regard, 175 samples were attended in three groups of athletes, coaches and experts. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire derived from the research background and finally analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.

Also, the components of human resources, equipment, talent identification, methods, management solutions, knowledge and motivation are the most important barriers for the development of karate in Khorasan Razavi province. It should be explained that based on the specific values, factor variance and their cumulative variance percent, the predictive power of the barrier model was 60.55% on the basis of total variance of the six factors.
Discussion: According to the results, it can be argued that the use of trained human resources is very important, such as the use of trained instructors, nutrition experts, expert psychologists, experienced medical teams, specialist managers as well as qualified counselors for the development of karate. Therefore, respondents to the above questions are highly valued and the results of the research correctly confirm that there are many human resource problems that need to be solved.
