Abstract
Introduction: Sport coaches are trying to identify the heroes of each discipline at random, not personal and family interests, but through the use of scientific methods through the prioritization of different indicators. In this case, in addition to saving time and money, more success will be achieved in reaching the peak performance of the sport. The aim of this research is to investigate the current status and desirability of scouting in the fields of swimming, diving and water polo.
Methodology: The present study is a descriptive survey that was carried out through a researcher-made questionnaire and interviews with experts and experts of these three disciplines. The statistical population of the study was active coaches of the three swimming, diving and water polo groups that participated in the upgrade of swimming pool classes and formed the members of the three technical committees. To collect information, the result of the interview and the study of theoretical foundations of the existing researcher-made questionnaire were used and adjusted. The validity of the questionnaire was verified by university professors and specialists in swimming, diving and water polo fields and its reliability by calculating the Cronbach alpha at the acceptable level of the report (0/94 = α). The internal consistency of Cronbach's alpha coefficients was measured for all three factors, which in all parts was above 0.80. In this study, descriptive statistics were used to analyze the information and determine the demographic status of the participants. To determine whether there are any significant differences between the status quo and the desired situation, a t-test single-sample test In order to prioritize different indices in the process of talent identification, Friedman's nonparametric test was used at the significant level of α = 0.05.
Results: The results of the research showed that there is a significant difference between the current status of managerial and implementation factors, facilities, and manpower with the desired status.
Discussion: Coaching pay, the role of federation management and coach's role in prioritizing the indicators and various factors in the process of talent identification using Friedman test are in the first to third priority, and the federation's access to all existing coaches, the ease of accessing national teams and interference Policy makers in the planning and management process of these three disciplines are in the top priorities.
