Abstract
Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of competitive advantage as a mediator in the relationship between human resource management and organizational performance the perspective of experts of Iranian Ministry of Sport and Youth.
Methodology: In this research the correlative method was used. The statistical population was 320 experts (all of experts) of this Ministry. The statistical sample which was originally equal to the main population was reduce to 294 because some of the questionnaires were not sent back to the researcher. Measurement tools of the investigation were 4 questionnaires that including demographic, competitive advantage with 0.081 validity, human resource management questionnaire with 0.086 validity ,organizational performance questionnaire with 0.078 validity and .demographic questionnaire competitive advantage of reliability α=0.81, inventory management, human resources reliability α=0.91 and inventory organizational performance reliability α=0.83 was also to determine the validity of the questionnaire, as well as the Specialists were used. To analyze the data descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation and SEM) was used.
Results: The results showed a significant positive correlation between competitiveness, human resources and organizational performance there (r=0.41, r= 0.52, P≤0.01). Research model was fit and competitive advantage is playing the role of mediator in the relationship between human resource management and organizational performance.
Discussion: So the Director of the Ministry of Sport and Youth can use competitive strategies, especially strategies to reduce costs in the organization also application of various methods human resource management, especially in the programming to recruitment, keep and develop of capable and talented human resources improve performance the Ministry of Sports
