Abstract
Introduction: Recreation in the areas and parks outside the city has become a need for citizens. Due to its natural blessings, historic history and hospitality culture, MARIVAN has a potential for expanding sport tourism. Due to the entry of urban sewage into inland rivers and the absence of large natural environments in the city, people are demanding recreation in pristine and natural environments. One of these pristine and natural areas is the promenades on the margin of the ZARIBAR Lake. Therefore, the identification, selection, analysis and designing of sport tourism sites outside the cities is necessary.
Methodology: Variety of methods yet have been innovated for site identification. The main question is that: are the result from different methods similar in the calculation process? The goal of this paper is to analyze the results of PRALONG and TOPSIS methods in order to evaluate the capabilities of sport tourism sites. First, the capability of tourism sites positioned by the ZARIBAR was analyzed. Then, these sites have been analyzed using two methods of PRALONG and TOPSIS and final site has been chosen. At the end these two methods were compared.
Results: The whole results for choosing the final site were found to be similar. Also, the TOPSIS method reflected the differences between sites more intense than the PRALONG method and finally both methods reached a similar choice that was equal with people choice.
Discussion: Combining PRALONG and TOPSIS models to achieve applicable decisions will offer better results. Also, from the zones specified in the ZARIBAR lake zone, zone number 4 was selected as the best tourism site for designing. In fact, applying the principles and criteria of sustainable landscape design in natural areas would enhance the environmental and ecological power of these areas. In addition, the design coincides with the natural areas of the bed, and ultimately, the environmental balance and balance of these areas as a result of the application of inappropriate programs, policies and administrations, and man's excessive aggression in the natural areas disturbed.
