Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this study pathology is the development of sports culture in urban Amol.
Methodology: The research method was descriptive - survey and purpose, functional and data collection method, fieldwork has been. Two questionnaires were used to collect data from a semi researcher for people participating in sport (borrowed from Shamsi Questionnaire, 1392) and non-participants in the exercise (adapted from questionnaires Motameni et al., 1392) were used.
Results: The results of Kolmogorov - Smirnov test for normality of the data distribution study showed that all variables have a natural distribution. Therefore, non-parametric statistical methods will be used to analyze the data. Also all stages of statistically by SPSS software, version 22 at a significance level of α = 0/05 and software of structural equation PLS, edited 3 is calculated. The Results showed that between the cultural aspects of the people there are significant differences in attitudes to sport. Amol people's sports culture in urban areas in terms of household income are significantly different from each other. Amol people's sports culture in urban areas in terms of distance to sports centers are significantly different from each other. Between acculturation dimensions of people with lack of tendency to exercise in sports spaces there are significant differences. Between economic barriers of lack of participation and income levels, there is no significant difference. Between levels of structural barriers and distance to first sports space, no significant difference among non-athletes.
Discussion: The results of structural equation modeling study showed among the factors contributing to acculturation the family variables and mass media influence on Amol citizens' sports culture and were not influential variable friends and peers and school.
