Assessing the Anti-Doping Activity of National Federations to Conform with the 2015-2019 Strategies of the World Anti-Doping Agency

Abstract
Introduction: Doping in sport results from a combination of individual, cultural, societal and physiological factors. prevention of doping in sport must be based on a clear understanding of the complex nature of the problem and the comprehensive mix of strategies needed to address them successfully. The development of the Plan takes this into account. With the increase of doping in the world, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)initial Strategic Plan was created in 2001. It was revised in 2004, 2007, 2011and this revision in 2014 has taken place in order to align its activities and resources over the next five years (2015-2019). The purpose of this study was assess the coherence and coverage of the plans of the six national federations with the goals and strategies of 2015-2019 WADA strategic plan.
Methodology: The research method was applied, that describes the programs and actions reported on the website of the Six National Federations on the basis of to conform the goals and plans of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Data collection was carried out on the basis of a check list, according to the 2015-2019 WADA Strategic Plan, from the review of the federations website. The data were analyzed in SPSS 24 software.
Results: The results showed that there is a different level of coordination and coverage of anti-doping programs in the federations with the 2015-2019 WADA strategic plan and position is not good.
Discussion: The lack of attention to the strategies 2015-2019 WADA strategic plan, Iranian federations would use of opportunities in the remaining time to development plans.
