Investigating the relationship between decision reinvestment and decision rumination with movement specific reinvestment in athletes

Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between decision reinvestment and decision rumination with movement specific reinvestment in Athletes.
Methodology The method of this research was applied and descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the study was young athletes present at Marand sport clubs who were active at one of the sports fields for at least 3 days a week during the year. Of these, 70 people were selected by targeted and accessible sampling method. In this study, the Participants completed a questionnaire of personal characteristics that included questions about age, athletic activity per week, and a history of exercise activity. Then, In order to measuring decision reinvestment and decision rumination, the decision specific reinvestment questionnaire (Kinrad & etal., 2010), which includes these two scales, was distributed among subjects and to assess the movement specific reinvestment, the movement specific reinvestment Questionnaire (Masters and Maxwell, 2005) was used. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used for normality of data. After collecting the necessary data, the data were analyzed by descriptive statistical methods ( frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation ) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient test ) and analyzed by SPSS 22 version.
Results: The findings showed that there was a significant relationship between the movement specific reinvestment and decision reinvestment. Also, the results of Pearson correlation coefficient test to investigate the relationship between movement specific reinvestment and decision rumination indicated that the significant level for these two variables was higher than 0.05 (p>0.05).
Discussion: Therefore, there was no significant relationship between these two variables.
