Research on interests, motivations, and goals in educational furtherance in university students of sport science in Rasht

Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of the present study is to research on interests, motivations, and goals in educational furtherance in university students of sport science in Rasht.
Methodology: This study was a descriptive survey, which has been a field research that has used simple random research approach. Applied methodology in this study was researcher made questionnaire which its surface and content narration were approved by both experts and professors and its result was estimated by Cronbach's alpha (α=0.78). Also for analyzing the data , two approaches of descriptive and deductive statistics were applied.
Results: In the present study, sex had a meaningful relation with furthering the education, but age, the place of study, time to start had no meaningful relation with educational furtherance. Also, amongst interests factors for educational furtherance, job availability and prime job opportunity was with an average of 8.13 of high and low tuition expense in this major with an average of 3.44 were the least significant. Furthermore, amongst factors for non educational furtherance, affectlessness of higher studies in job promotions and job marketing with an average of 9.11 had the most and family counselling with an average of 5.84 had the least importance.
Discussion: Among the sum of data gathered in this study, it can be concluded that effective reasons for educational furtherance should be seen as a whole set and providing necessary means of higher studies in different sub-fields of sport science, job security would be provided for students and ways for higher studies would be paved.
