Abstract
Introduction: The overall purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational health with the mediating role of job satisfaction among teachers of physical education in Shiraz city.
Methodology: According to the goals which were set, the present study was applied and was a descriptive survey that was done in the field. The statistical population of this research is all the teachers of physical education in Shiraz city (546 people). 225 people were selected randomly and randomly according to Krejcie and Morgan tables. In this research, library methods and field practices were used to collect data in this research. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire of individual profile and information (researcher made), Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (HW), Smith & Associates' Job Satisfaction Questionnaire, and Hoy et al., Health Inventory. In this research, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. In order to analyze the information and test the hypothesis of the research, we use the Kolmogorov - Smirnov test, the structural equation method and the independent T-test. Using SPSS and PLS software, we used the SPSS software. Meanwhile, the level of α for all tests is considered to be 0.05.
Results: The results showed that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational health and job satisfaction. Also, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational health. Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational health by mediating job satisfaction in physical education teachers in Shiraz city.
